Introduction
The degree programme “Studies in Literature and Philosophy” comes from the adjustment of the degree programme in “Humanistic Studies”, established in the academic year 2011/2012, and is now managed by the Department of “Philology and Literary Criticism” (DFCLAM).
Keeping the same basic structure, which guarantees everyone enrolled a solid foundation in literary (classical and modern) and historical and philosophical subjects, the degree programme is articulated across three curricula, so as to allow the choice of specific educational tracks that enhance the varied potential within the bachelor’s programme, in particular with regard to the areas of classic philology and literature; modern philology, linguistics, and literature (Italian studies, Italian linguistics, comparative studies, languages, and foreign literature); and historical-philosophical, philosophical, and demo-ethno-anthropological studies. The wide variety of relevant subjects and especially the vast choice in the range of credits assigned to the area of related and supplementary activities offer students the possibility of personalizing their own study plan, according to a more specific view of study and future job prospects. Within the chosen educational track, each student thus also has the possibility of personalizing their own study plan to a certain degree.
These are the active curricula:
- Philosophy
- Classics
- Italian Studies
